Hi, my name is Julia and I’m the founder of Global Expo Support.

Global Expo Support exists for one reason: so that when your company exhibits, the preparation, the suppliers and the deadlines are handled – and your team walks onto a stand where everything is ready. Here’s why I started it, and why you can trust us with your event.

How it all started

My journey into events wasn’t planned. Looking back, though, every step taught me something I still use today.

It started with volunteering. For years I helped run community events and organised activities for children, which I still consider some of the best training an event coordinator can get. Children don’t follow schedules, and the weather doesn’t read your plan. You learn early that a good event isn’t one where nothing goes wrong. It’s one where problems are solved before anyone notices them.

Learning from World-Class Events

From there, the scale grew. I volunteered at both the Olympic and Paralympic Games and saw from the inside what it takes to deliver something that enormous: thousands of people, each responsible for one small piece, all working towards the same immovable date. I worked at Formula 1 events, where timing is everything and “we’ll sort it tomorrow” isn’t an option. Later, I joined a company that organised corporate team-building events, and learned how businesses think about their people, their image and their budgets.

Four years coordinating international exhibitions

Then came the role that shaped everything that followed. For four years, I was responsible for preparing a telecommunications company for exhibitions and conferences across Europe – not one part of the process, but all of it. I worked directly with event organisers, managed stand builders and suppliers, coordinated branding and merchandise, arranged logistics and deliveries, prepared exhibition materials and held every timeline together. My measure of success was simple: when the team arrived, everything was already there – checked, working and ready.

The problem I kept seeing

I loved that work, and I was good at it. But I also saw exactly what it costs an internal team. Exhibition preparation is months of detailed work carried by people who already have full-time jobs. It’s chasing a printer in one country while a freight forwarder in another asks for customs paperwork you’ve never seen before. It’s a delivery that hasn’t arrived two days before opening, and the quiet panic that comes with it. It’s a sales team spending their evenings comparing furniture quotes instead of preparing for the meetings that justify the whole investment.

I kept coming back to the same thought: this shouldn’t be their job.

The solution

The team should be getting ready to meet clients – someone else should be carrying everything else.

Global Expo Support exists to be that someone. We take on the planning, the suppliers, the deliveries and the hundred small decisions every exhibition demands, so the only thing our clients bring to the event is themselves – present, prepared and free to do business.

Experience backed by qualifications

I’ve since added formal qualifications too, including the TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Event Planning (RQF), because I believe in doing things properly.

But my deepest training came from years of being personally responsible when it counted. I know what it feels like to be the one everyone turns to at seven in the morning on opening day. I built Global Expo Support so our clients never have to be that person.

Today

Today, we support companies exhibiting across Europe and the UK, with hands-on experience in eleven countries so far. The part of our work I’m proudest of is also the least visible: when an event runs smoothly, nobody asks why. The stand is ready, the materials are in place, and the team is doing what they came to do – talking to clients. That quiet, uneventful success is exactly what we are there to deliver.
